Competition Rules

Open Competition Prints. Each print must be marked with the authors name and the title of the photo on the back. Colour Prints. Maximum 3 entries per competition night. Colour Prints can be of any size or subject. Black & White Prints. Maximum 3 entries per competition night. Black & White prints can be of any size or subject. They must be Black and White or monochrome tinted throughout the photograph (such as a sepia tint or a blue tint). Digital images and Slides. Slides. The open Digital images and Slides Competition is held on a seperate night to the Prints competition and there is only one competition night per annum. There is a maximum of 15 entries per competition night The images or slides may be of any subject. The slide mounts must be 50mm x 50mm to fit our projector. Place a dot in the front bottom left corner of the slide mount to show orientation of the slide. Each slide must be marked with the authors name and the title of the slide. Digital Images. Only jpeg images are accepted and the filename of the image must contain the members name and the title of the image eg jkeys - jakes naming day.jpg Entries may be submitteded on disk or via email, but if submitted by email the file size must not exceed 150kb

Set Subject Competition Prints. Each print must be marked with the authors name and the title of the photo on the back. Colour Prints. Maximum 3 entries per competition night. The subject of the colour print must fit in with the set subject and the print can be of any size. Black & White Prints. Maximum 3 entries per competition night. The subject of the Black & White print must fit in with the set subject and the Black & White print can be of any size. Maximum 3 entries per competition night The subject of the image must fit in with the set subject. A slide may only be shown once in competition, but prints and digital images may be shown twice in monthly competition. Once in an Open competition an once in a Set Subject competition.

Prints and Images of the Year

At the close of the year entries are accepted for Colour Print of the Year, Black and White Print of the Year and Image of the Year. (Image of the year includes both slides and digital images) A maximum of 3 photographs in each category can be entered, and the photographs must have been entered into a monthly competition during the same calendar year.   eg. A print entered in the July 2008 Set Subject competition can be entered for the 2008 Print of the Year. A print entered into the November 2007 open competition cannot be entered into the 2008 Print of the Year

Prints, Images & Slides are accepted at the discretion of the competition secretaries.
